Children's Ministry

The Children's Ministry of First Baptist seeks to meet the needs of children from kindergarten through fifth grade and their families. Children are the future of the world and no amount of energy in making a positive Christian influence in their lives will be wasted. The FBCH Children's Ministry believes in children and their value. A multifaceted program provides for the spiritual, emotional, mental and social growth of your child. Click on a link on the left for more information on classes offered.

Opportunities to touch a child's life for the Lord are available throughout the year. For more information on teaching opportunites available, please contact one of the Children's Ministry staff members.

Classes offered on Sundays mornings include: Sunday School, Children's Precept Class and Special Friends Class. Classes offered on Sunday evenings include: Children's Bible Study in Room 121 (Summer "Son" Shine) and New Christian's Class.

Wednesday classes during the school year include: Children's Choir, CIA (Children in Action), and DC4K (DivorceCare for Kids).

During the summer, Summer Surge is held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Praise Room (former youth area on the second floor) for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. At Summer Surge children explore the Bible through video clips, questions and answers, and games.
