The BABBCENTER
The BABBCENTER, located at 105 Music Village Boulevard, is a separate building on the First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, Tennessee campus that provides many ministries of the church. Among these are the Counseling Ministry for individuals, couples, and families, the Career Counseling Ministry, the Parish Nurse Ministry, the Benevolence Ministry, and various small group ministry opportunities that address many of the needs that are a part of our everyday lives. Two of the ministers on the staff of First Baptist Church, Dr. David Walley, Director, and Dr. Ray Cleek, Adminstrator/Assistant Director plan, coordinate, and facilitate the ministries of the center.
The BABBCENTER opened in May, 2002, and has experienced tremendous growth in services provided and people served. The BABBCENTER was named in honor of Marguerite and Roy Babb, whose lives as faithful Christian servants have exemplified the mission and purpose of The BABBCENTER. The BABBCENTER is an outstanding facility dedicated to service for Christ, and it exists because of the strong support of the members of First Baptist Church. The staff would consider it a privilege to help you, your family, or someone you care for experience the healing and love you need for a healthy relationship with the Lord and those around you.
Appointments & Cost
If you would like an appointment with one of the counselors please call 615.824.3772 or 1.800.458.1755. Since opening the Counseling Center in 1996, appointment times have consistently filled quickly. Please be patient as the staff strives to serve all who need counseling services. If you call after normal business hours or if the receptionist is away from her desk, please leave your name and phone number and someone will contact you.
The BABBCENTER is partially funded by fees assessed for services rendered. However, no one is turned away because of inability to pay fees. When necessary, fees are adjusted. Each person served is responsible for payment of the fee that is agreed upon in the initial session. The BABBCENTER does not file for insurance payment for sessions, however a receipt for payment will be provided which can be used by the client to file for reimbursement of fees paid. In order to keep our schedules running smoothly and to serve as many people as possible, it is extremely important that an appointment that cannot be kept be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. The regular fee will be assessed for an appointment that is not kept and is not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. In order to avoid this fee, you may simply contact our office within this time frame if you are unable to keep your appointment. It is acceptable to leave a message on the voice mail. Exceptions wil be made for emergencies beyond the person's control. If you have any questions, call the Counseling Center at 615.824.3772 or 1.800.458.1755.
