Dear Sisters:

Have you every really thought about snow? The whole concept of the rain cycle, God's plan to keep the earth replenished with water, is quite an incredible plan. And so the rains fall, joining the earth and then evaporates back into the air to begin this miraculous cycle all over again. Then God decides to add a little spice and flair to our lives and chooses to turn the rain to snow.

Dear Sisters,

The two of us stood staring at the spectacle under the Christmas tree. Some Christmas mornings, my sister and I would sneak out of our bedroom around 4:00 a.m. to privately see what Santa had left us.

Dear Sisters -

"Sis, is this yours?" I wasn't sure at first. I couldn't tell exactly what she had seen that would have provoked that question. After all, Mom's attic was packed. I couldn't imagine what my sister saw. Hidden among the clutter and the years of boxed memories and keepsakes, my sister spotted a mysterious wooden chest.

Dear Sisters,

There were three of them. They stood in a perfect "V" shape just a few steps directly in front of my beach chair. The seagull in the front was apparently the spokesbird for the group. Evidently, it was his job to negotiate for beachside snacks. The three were diligent in their quest and they stood like soldiers just staring at me for the longest time.

Heaven only knew in advance what you would mean to me. How could I have known that the miracle I was carrying would soon enter my life and change things forever? Heaven only knew. My world would never be the same once I met you. How could I have possibly known that I would be awestruck as I held you as an infant, feeding you in the wee morning hours?

My backyard is like a three-ring circus - and I love it! In fact, we planned it that way. In the spring, my husband and I strategically planted flowers that would attract hummingbirds and butterflies. We planted a purple variety of lantana and then we wove in some red and yellow lantana.
