ADULT LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
One of the best ways to become connected with other adults at First Baptist is through small groups such as Sunday School and Adult Bible Studies. Such opportunities enable you to study the Bible in the company of other believers. By gathering on a regular basis to share, study and fellowship, you begin to develop friendships, accountability, and a support network of people for you and your family.
Sunday School
Sunday School is our strategy for reaching people, building a caring fellowship and teaching the Bible as truth without error. We offer over 60 adult Sunday School classes. There's always a place for you in Sunday School. Finding a class “home” will engage you in the study of God's Word within a community of believers.
Please call Mark Lewis at 447.1307 if you need help selecting a class. He is more than happy to visit with you in person or over the phone.
Adult Bible Studies
Adult Bible Studies are short-term, topical studies designed to meet specific felt needs or to help increase one's knowledge and understanding of the Bible. These closed group studies meet primarily on Wednesday nights, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, and Thursday evenings. Topics of study include certain books of the Bible and a number of "how to" classes related to financial management, marriage and parenting enrichment, dealing with divorce. and finding a place of service within the church.
Classes are canceled when Sumner County schools dismiss for threatening weather or scheduled breaks. Fall break this year for Sumner County is October 4-8. We will cancel discipleship studies during this week.
